What is the pelvic floor?
The pelvic floor is a complex web of muscles, fascia and fibrous tissue that helps support the pelvic organs.
Symptoms of pelvic floor pain include:
- Urinary incontinence
- Faecal incontinence
- Pain during intercourse
- Abdominal/pelvic/lower back pain
- Urgency to urinate
- Urine leakage with cough/sneeze or physical activity (stress incontinence )
